Sharecare Wins Five Digital Health Awards


ATLANTA, Dec. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sharecare, a leading digital health and wellness engagement platform, today announced that it won five Digital Health Awards in the program’s 2015 Fall competition. Formerly known as the Web Health Awards, the Digital Health Awards are held twice each year – Spring and Fall — and recognize the nation’s best digital health resources, selected by a panel of health technology professionals.

Sharecare's AskMD symptom-checker app received two accolades in the Consumer Mobile Digital Health Resources, Mobile Application category: a Gold Award for its smartphone app for iOS and Google Play; and a Merit Award for AskMD for Apple Watch. AskMD also was honored with a Gold Award in the Digital Health Media category for its promotional launch video of AskMD for Apple Watch. The Sharecare Beta smartphone app, which monitors and analyzes users’ stress levels and mood based on fractal patterns in their voice during phone calls, received a Merit Award in the Consumer Mobile Digital Health Resources, Medical Research Mobile Application category. Sharecare Beta is available for free on Android from Google Play.

Finally, Sharecare received a Merit Award in the Consumer Web-based Digital Health category for its predictive and personalized flagship engagement platform, Sharecare.com.

The Digital Health Awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center. Using a rating scale of 1 to 100, a panel of 39 experts in digital health media evaluated entries for content, design, creativity, and user experience from nearly 600 entries.
