College for Financial Planning Unveils Updated, Streamlined Master of Science Degree Programs

Students Can Expect Relevant, Real-World Content With Immediate Career Benefits

CENTENNIAL, CO--(Marketwired - January 04, 2016) - Finance professionals who wish to advance their education can now enroll in two newly revamped Master of Science degree programs at the College for Financial Planning (CFFP).

The Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning and the Master of Science in Finance programs can be completed in 30 credit hours for less than $15,000. Students have a defined path to graduation and a streamlined online enrollment process.

CFFP is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Regional accreditation is the highest level of institutional accreditation available.

There is no GRE or GMAT testing requirement, and all course work is application-based. This means that students learn from real-world firms and case studies instead of rote formula memorization and sterile theory. The online learning platform and focus on video-delivered content bring the classroom experience to students around the world.

CFFP's other graduate-level education programs, including the CFP Certification Professional Education Program and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ programs, can also apply toward the MS in Personal Financial Planning. As a result, the program is even more attractive for current CFFP graduates.

"We're happy to introduce updated Master of Science Degree programs that better meet our students' needs," CFFP President John Sears said. "Our graduates will be able to better serve their clients and businesses, and they can expect a strong return on investment with these degree programs."

CFFP graduates recently self-reported a mean increase to their earnings of 65 percent.

The Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning degree is tailored for financial planners who are interested in expanding their knowledge beyond typical financial licensing and credentials. The program also allows students to incorporate CFFP's graduate-level professional designations as part of their studies.

The Master of Science in Finance is designed for individuals interested in a variety of careers in the finance industry, including corporate finance, financial analysis, financial management and investment banking. Course work in this program is uniform, so students always know what the next course is.
