NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - January 14, 2016) - B&H Photo is pleased to share the announcement of an array of new products from Fujifilm, which both update and add to the existing X-Series lineup. Headlining the release is Fujifilm's flagship -- the X-Pro2, featuring a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III Sensor, the just-released X-Processor Pro, and the world's first 2.36m-dot Advanced Hybrid Multi Viewfinder. This advanced hybrid viewfinder has also been improved with built-in diopter correction, allowing eyeglass wearers to adjust viewfinder magnification to their specific needs. A new autofocus system -- featuring 273 AF points, of which 77 are phase detection -- has been added, promising faster and more accurate focusing on both still and moving subjects. The magnesium alloy chassis has also been improved with 61 points of dust and splash-resistant weather sealing, and freeze resistance to 14°F. Additional notable features include a 3" 1.62m-dot rear LCD, dual SD card slots, improved 1080p HD video recording, and the inclusion of a new ACROS film simulation mode. The native ISO range of the Fuji X-Pro2 is 100-12800, but can be expanded to 51200. New wireless control is also available via two new smartphone apps -- one allowing the user to trigger the camera remotely; the other allows the transfer of photos to a Fujifilm INSTAX Share Printer.

Fujifilm's enthusiast line has also received an update, with the new X-E2S. Building on the foundations of its predecessor, the 16.3MP X-E2S features a Real-Time electronic viewfinder with a display lag time of just 0.005-second and a large magnification of 0.62X. The X-E2S has also received a revamped autofocus system, with 49 points in Single-Point Mode and a Wide/Tracking mode with a 77-Point area for moving subjects. Internal upgrades include a maximum ISO of 51200, a new silent electronic shutter capable of exposures up to 1/32,000 of a second, and the addition of the Classic Chrome Film Simulation Mode. Like the X-Pro2, the X-E2S also features 1080p video capture, wireless Smartphone control via Wi-Fi, and wireless compatibility with Fujifilm's instax SHARE Printer. The Fujifilm X-E2S is available body only, in two colors, black or silver, or in a kit with the 18-55mm lens, also in black or silver.

Aside from mirrorless bodies, Fujifilm has also announced a new XF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR telephoto zoom lens for the X-Series. This new lens features an equivalent focal length of 152mm-609mm in 35mm format and an optical construction of 21 elements in 14 groups, including five ED lenses and one Super ED lens. The lens also uses a rounded nine-blade aperture capable of adjustment in 1/3-stop increments for precise control. The body of the lens has been designed to a professional standard, complete with 13 water- and dust-resistant seals, a water-repellent fluorine coating, and can operate at temperatures as low at 14°F. The Fuji XF100-400 is also compatible with Fujifilm's XF 1.4X TC WR Teleconverter and the MLP-75XF lens plate.

Occupying a new space within the X-series lineup is the new Fujifilm X70, a premium fixed-lens compact camera which combines the size of a point-and-shoot with the capabilities of an X-Series mirrorless camera. The X70 is equipped with a new 18.5mm f/2.8 lens equivalent to 28mm, which is supported by a 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II Sensor and a new 1.04m-dot tilting touchscreen -- a first for the Fujifilm X-Series line. The 18.5mm lens features a nine-blade aperture, which can be adjusted in 1/3-stop increments, and is coated with the Fujinon HT-EBC coating for the highest image quality. The tilting touchscreen has been designed to flip 180°, allowing users to photograph themselves from extreme angles. Although the built-in lens is fixed at a 28mm equivalent, a digital teleconverter can be activated to simulate additional focal lengths of 35mm and 50mm. Additionally, the X70 carries some technology from its advanced siblings including Classic Chrome Film Simulation Mode, 1080p video capture, wireless Smartphone control via Wi-Fi, and wireless compatibility with Fujifilm's instax SHARE Printer. The X70 is available in two color options, black or silver.
