Fedups, a new mobile shipping application from MIR Publishing LLC, solves a problem that has frustrated millions of consumers and business owners who use guaranteed on-time shipment options offered by FedEx and UPS, only to struggle to get their refunds when packages fail to arrive by the designated time.
Every year an estimated 750 million packages arrive late to their destinations after shipping companies have guaranteed delivery at a specified time or your money back. Yet many customers are not even aware that their packages have arrived late, and those who are aware of late delivery often abandon the claim process. It is estimated that several billion dollars' worth of late shipment refunds are left unclaimed every year.
With Fedups, customers can simply scan in their package's airway bill number, choose a carrier and submit. The app does the rest. Users can track the whereabouts of any package throughout the delivery process and receive a push notification when the package arrives even one minute late. When customers touch the app's "Claim" button, Fedups completes the claim process for them. Customers can also check past shipments to see if they're eligible for a refund.
