SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - January 27, 2016) - Eventbrite, the world's largest self-service ticketing and registration platform, today announced it is increasing its presence in Nashville. The global company, which has processed over $5 billion in gross ticket sales, is building out a team of sales professionals in Nashville focused on small to medium-sized events. This new team, led by Vanderbilt graduate Erin Tomlinson, will join the company's local customer support and engineering teams. In order to accommodate the addition of a sales team and anticipated addition of dozens of new employees, the company is searching for larger office space to accommodate the new employees.
"Since first opening our doors in Nashville two years ago, we've found Music City to be home to tremendous tech and support talent," said Matt Rosenberg, Chief Revenue Officer at Eventbrite. "We look forward to expanding our presence in Nashville and bringing on board the great sales talent that the city has to offer."
"Nashville is home to tremendous talent across the board; engineers, customer support professionals, and sales professionals alike," said Emily Couey, Vice President of People at Eventbrite. "Our Engineering and Customer Support teams in Nashville have been extraordinarily successful and we feel honored to be a part of the growing Nashville technology community. After considering several different cities, we've determined Nashville is hands-down the best place to expand our team, and look forward to the greatness to come from having dedicated sales resources on the ground."
"The Nashville technology community is growing quickly and Eventbrite is an integral part of that growth," said Courtney Corlew, Director of Communications & 36|86 for LaunchTN. "Eventbrite continues to thrive here and that means exciting new career opportunities for local Nashville talent in addition to highlighting Tennessee as a fantastic place to grow your business."
Eventbrite serves a broad range of customers including music festivals, marathons, conferences, art shows, sporting events, and food and drink events. In 2015 alone, Eventbrite supported more than two million events in more than 180 countries, and processed more than 100 million tickets.
