VANCOUVER, BC --(Marketwired - February 11, 2016) - Aquatic Informatics Inc., a global leader in providing innovative software for water data management and analysis, today announced a new release of AQUARIUS WebPortal -- the most powerful web visualization solution for providing rich online access to environmental data. Organizations can now publish customized dashboards, providing secure online access to live environmental conditions and trends to colleagues, other departments, partners, customers, or to the general public. Answers to questions related to drinking water quality, rainfall, flood, air pollution, or other environmental health indicators can be found instantly with web access to environmental data from any computer or mobile device.
"While environmental data volumes are growing at exponential rates, many of today's organizations still depend on aging custom built systems or even simple office spreadsheets to make sense of massive volumes of data and to share that data with stakeholders. Many find themselves data rich, but time constrained and information poor. AQUARIUS WebPortal makes environmental intelligence faster and easier," said Eric Dorgelo, Chief Technology Officer at Aquatic Informatics. "Our new release of AQUARIUS WebPortal is the most modern solution for visualizing environmental data online, enabling environmental professionals to quickly garner actionable insight from real-time data managed in AQUARIUS Time-Series, wherever, whenever."
AQUARIUS WebPortal Release Highlights
Customizable Dashboards. New configurable dashboards provide a live snapshot of environmental conditions -- like current water or air quality data, flooding locations, rainfall statistics, or rising reservoir levels -- making it easy to zero-in on the most critical data. Powerful widgets can display both AQUARIUS WebPortal and external data. Visually rich dashboards can include charts, grids, gauges, webcams, YouTube videos, and Twitter timelines for a compelling view of environmental indicators.
Enhanced Charting. Charting has been updated to display Grade Codes when viewing a time series. Users can also dynamically add extra data sets and change how both data and charts are displayed, saving modified charts for anytime access.
Heat Maps. New heat maps provide the ability to take statistic data and interpolate between points on the map. Data like rainfall and air temperature can be used to create an overlay to visualize interpolated data across geographic areas.
Data Set Reference. Locations can now reference data sets at other locations to create meaningful relationships. For floods, river levels can be defined at a particular gauging location for which various nearby roads become flooded by (1) defining a location at each road, (2) establishing an association (with the reference data set) that relates the road with a river level time series, and (3) defining the river level for the onset of flooding at the related road Location. In this fashion, locations can be created without time series, be related to data sets, and the relationship can be used to show states on the map, additional tolerance lines on a chart, or to generate alert notifications.
Annual Frequency Definitions. New annual frequency definitions can be used to calculate the annual frequency of a particular statistic occurring, for example rainfall statistics with derived Average Recurrence Interval (ARI).
Map Options. New map display options allow users to show or hide map indicators, statistics in indicators, primary data sets, and blacklisted data sets.
AQUARIUS WebPortal delivers a simple and elegant solution for offering real-time online access to quality assured environmental data and services. Organizations can impress their stakeholders with interactive dashboards, rich statistics, intuitive maps, email alerts, data exporting, and live reports.
Current AQUARIUS WebPortal customers are invited to take advantage of all these enhancements and dozens more by downloading the latest version on the popular AQUARIUS 360° Community Portal.
