SCHAUMBURG, Ill., April 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Quadrant 4 Education, a division of Quadrant 4 System Corporation, announces it has been selected by Lancaster Independent School District to deploy EmpowerED Solutions™, a new-to-market platform enabling increased transparency among stakeholders and seamless academic assessment and intervention.
Lancaster ISD serves the city of Lancaster, Texas located near Dallas. The school district encompasses eleven campuses and approximately 8,000 students, over 96% of whom are of African American or Hispanic descent and 90% of whom are receiving free or reduced lunch services. Lancaster ISD’s graduation rate is 95% - the highest graduation rate of the Best Southwest Member Cities and the highest graduation rate of any school in the North Texas area for economically disadvantaged students.
Lancaster is led by Superintendent Dr. Michael D. McFarland. Dr. McFarland has been recognized at the national and state level for his outstanding leadership as a school superintendent. He was selected as the American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent of the Year Nominee from Texas for 2015 as well as the National Alliance of Black School Educator’s Superintendent of the Year.
