While the importance of nutrition for prospective mothers is well know, less attention has historically been paid to the role of nutrition of fathers.
However, research is making it clear that the environmental exposures and nutritional choices of a father-to-be can have profound effects on reproductive outcomes, from a failure to conceive to birth defects.
Among other finding, studies indicate:
- vitamin E and selenium supplementation both increased motility and reduced the concentration of malformed sperm;
