TARRYTOWN, N.Y., April 20, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hearing loss and other diseases of the ear affect approximately 50 million Americans of all ages nationwide, including in the state of New Jersey.
That's why ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), the nation's preeminent ear, nose, throat, allergy and audiology practice serving over 75,000 patients a month at its 41 state-of-the-art clinical facilities throughout New York and New Jersey, established its proprietary Ear and Dizziness Division several years ago, populated by specialty trained physicians with advanced expertise to treat even the most complex issues involving hearing loss and tinnitus, vestibular nerve dysfunction, congenital malformations, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the ear, tumors of the ear, dizziness and vertigo.
And it's why the Practice, with over 175 board certified physicians, is extremely pleased to announce the newest addition to its roster of sub-specialists. As of August 1st, 2016, Stuart Ort, MD will join its Old Bridge and Woodbridge, New Jersey offices, located at 3663 Rt. 9N, Old Bridge, New Jersey and 485 Route 1, Iselin, New Jersey, respectively. In addition to being an otolaryngologist who will see adult and pediatric patients, Dr. Ort is a fellowship trained otologist. As such, he will become a member of ENTA's Ear and Dizziness team upon arrival and begin immediately treating tertiary care disorders affecting the ears, balance system, temporal bone, and related functions.
Dr. Ort, fellowship trained in Neurotology-Skull Base Surgery, comes to ENTA from the California Ear Institute in Palo Alto, California. He is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery with a special interest in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1999 and his medical doctorate from Penn State University in 2003, where he then completed his residency training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2008. He completed a fellowship in Neurotology-Skull Base Surgery at the California Ear Institute in 2010. Dr. Ort will provide medical and surgical care for a full spectrum of ear and balance related disorders, and is also currently involved in a number of clinical research projects.
Noted Robert Glazer, CEO of ENTA, "We are truly looking forward to the arrival of Dr. Ort, and are fully confident that his clinical experience, skills and prowess will enhance our ability to deliver the highest level of care to an even greater number of patients."
"The patients of Old Bridge and Woodbridge deserve superior medical care," added Dr. Vishvesh Mehta, Otolaryngologist at ENTA's Woodbridge office, " and I believe that the addition of Stuart Ort-with his subspecialty training and expertise-will allow us to ensure the communities of Middlesex County receive an even broader scope of that level of care."
Dr. Ort's superb reputation will fit in perfectly with those of the colleagues he will be joining. He will be working alongside Otolaryngologists Farhad Chowdhury, DO (also a Voice and Swallowing Specialist), Vishvesh M. Mehta, MD, FACS, Andrew Azer, MD, John Dodaro, MD and Allergist/Immunologist Patrick Ambrosio, DO, FACAAI.
