LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - May 03, 2016) - Carrying the torch of the late, legendary songwriter, Ron Miller, is his own multi-talented grandson, Oliver Richman (www.oliverrichman.com) who is releasing a special 50th Anniversary EP, "For Once In My Life" honoring the legacy of his grandfather who passed away in 2007. The four-track EP is now available on iTunes and Amazon.
Recorded by over 400 major label artists, including music icons Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, "For Once In My Life" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2009. For the Special 50th Anniversary recording, Oliver included the rarely heard intro music, which was written by his grandmother, Aurora Miller.
Oliver's new EP also features two versions of Miller's hit, "Heaven Help Us All," also originally recorded by Stevie Wonder in 1970 and covered over the years by multiple major label artists including Ray Charles, whose version from "Genius Loves Company" won a Grammy Award in 2005.
At just 10 years old, Oliver was personally invited by Stevie Wonder to share the stage with him and to sing "One Little Christmas Tree" at the Nokia Theatre where he received a standing ovation from more than 7,500 people. The song was written by Miller and originally recorded by Wonder in 1967 for his one and only Christmas album, "Someday at Christmas" (also written by Miller).
Produced by Oliver's mother, Lisa Dawn Miller and her creative partner, Mark Matson, the new EP release includes Oliver's moving version of Bruno Mars' "Count On Me."
Oliver is an Honors student in Los Angeles and recently released a new video, "Hamlet The Musical," paying tribute to the late Glenn Frey by setting the Eagles' music to Shakespeare in a five-minute scene from "Hamlet," performed a cappella, with fellow students Carley Heskett, Chris Kim and Kayvan Shaikhbahai.
Oliver's mother (Ron Miller's daughter), Lisa Dawn Miller, is a producer/director/singer/songwriter, who recently released her new EP, My Turn Begins Today. She produces the long running hit show, "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show," along with her husband, producer/director/actor/comedian, Sandy Hackett, son of legendary comedian, Buddy Hackett. The show is currently on its 7th Broadway Season national tour. Oliver first appeared in the show as "Young Frank Sinatra" when he was just 10 years old.
Oliver's 10-year-old sister, Ashleigh Hackett, made her singing debut with "Let's Go" and headlined at the Charleston Kids Fair.
