AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - May 04, 2016) - Stratfor, a leading geopolitical intelligence platform, today announced that Dave Sikora has been appointed as the organization's new chief executive officer. Sikora joined the firm in November as Executive Chairman through an investment by Teakwood Capital, and takes over as CEO for Shea Morenz, who will continue his role as an advisor and member of Stratfor's board of directors.

A software industry veteran and mobile application pioneer, Sikora is the former CEO and founder of Austin, Texas-based Digby, which built the first mobile application storefronts for 50 major brands. He serves on advisory boards for several successful Texas companies, including Kony, Inc., an enterprise mobility firm, and TDECU, the fourth-largest credit union in Texas. Sikora now brings that broad range of executive leadership and technology experience to his new role at Stratfor.

Sikora earned his Bachelor of Science in Technology from the University of Houston and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He was honored as Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for Technology during his tenure at the ForeFront Group, which was the first internet software IPO in the state of Texas in 1995.
