WEST HAVEN, Conn. and ALLENTOWN, Pa., June 2, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- JustFoodERP software has been selected by Watson Inc., the manufacturer of value added ingredients for the food and supplement industry, to support their growth, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service. JustFoodERP will be implemented at their two Connecticut plants in Orange and West Haven as well as their manufacturing and distribution center in Taylorville, Illinois.
JustFoodERP was determined to be the best fit for Watson, a quickly growing company that supplies value added ingredients to the bakery, food, beverage, and supplement markets. JustFoodERP is all-in-one software with full functionality built specifically for the food industry.
Watson feels JustFoodERP will help sustain the company's growth, while providing easy access to accurate and timely data which will help all of Watson's associates make informed business decisions. Watson has a strong commitment to employee empowerment and having an engaged team of employees working together to support Watson customers. In order to have empowered employees Watson needs to be able to share more information at all levels of the organization.
JustFoodERP will provide some of the infrastructure required to ensure employees have access to the information they need.
Watson required a system that would allow the company to respond to customer needs for order forecasting and availability. Watson felt that JustFoodERP would provide the centralized organization for customers' individual order requirements and allow for the flexibility to handle customer specific requirements for additional testing, labeling, shelf life, and shipping.
Watson has demanding requirements for complex custom formulation. JustFoodERP was called on to adapt to meet those requirements. The team of food professionals and developers at JustFoodERP configured the software for Watson's unique requirements. These customizations will ultimately help Watson continue to lead the industry in formulation expertise.
Also central to Watson's needs was a system that could encompass its robust quality programs and the needs of an in-house analytical laboratory.
After initial selection of the software the steering committee and core team at Watson have been steadily working toward a June 6, 2016, launch date for the new system.
