Next Generation of Moto G Smartphones Posted at B&H Photo

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 09, 2016) - Motorola's announcement of the G4 and G4 Plus on May 17 has the smartphone industry buzzing. The next-generation device includes various improvements over its predecessor, the G3 model, which turned out to be the telecom giant's most successful smartphone. The Moto G4 and G4 Plus will soon be available for purchase at B&H Photo.

This latest generation of Moto G phones features larger displays, higher resolutions, and improved battery performance over the G3. The display goes from 5" to 5.5", the resolution from 720 x 1280 pixels to 1080 x 1920 pixels, and the battery from 2470 mAh to 3000 mAh. The Moto G4 also boasts a stronger processor -- the 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 617 Octa-Core CPU, which is supported by 2GB of RAM, with certain G4 Plus configurations getting 4GB.

The primary difference between the G4 and Moto G4 Plus is the camera. The Moto G4 Plus features a 16MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, rapid-focus technology, and various other photo-friendly features. The standard G4 offers a slightly less powerful 13MP rear shooter, but retains all the other built-in features of the G4 Plus. Both models have a 5MP wide-angle front lens with flash capability. Additionally, the G4 Plus has a built-in fingerprint reader, while the standard G4 does not.
