OKEMOS, MI--(Marketwired - June 22, 2016) - The Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA) has updated its website www.michhome.org, and it is now even easier to find the right manufactured or modular home and land-lease community.
The mobile-friendly site has an easy search engine that taps into the extensive MMHA member roster which includes communities, retailers, manufacturers, financial institutions and service professionals.
"The new website is a great tool for people doing research on purchasing a manufactured or modular home, or wanting to know more about the benefits of owning a manufactured home," said Bill Sheffer, director of MMHA. Using a detailed search tool, the website connects users to manufactured home communities which fit their needs, while educating consumers on the advantages of manufactured and modular homes and communities through informative press releases, blogs and owner stories.
In addition to details on the values and benefits of manufactured and modular homes, the site's Get Inspired page allows visitors to view interior and exterior photos of manufactured and modular homes. "Some people have a preconceived notion of what a manufactured home looks like. Our new website will show them the spaciousness, luxury and quality these homes offer," said Sheffer.
Benefits to purchasing a new manufactured or modular home include shorter construction time, complete customization and lower building costs. The average cost per square foot of a new manufactured home in the Midwest in 2015, according to the U.S. Commerce Department Census Bureau, was $47.55; the average cost per square foot of a site-built home was $100.65.
