CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - June 27, 2016) - All around the city, companies and communities are organizing Stampede events and collecting food and funds for the Calgary Food Bank's annual Put the Boots to Hunger™ campaign.
So don't forget to bring a non-perishable food item or a cash donation for families and individuals in need.
Part of this initiative is the donation of Burnet Duckworth & Palmer LLP's (BD&P) chuckwagon tarp of GMC Rangeland Derby driver Gary Gorst. Each night a different business sponsors the Put the Boots to Hunger™ chuckwagon tarp and all funds raised support the Calgary Food Bank at a time when donations are typically slower.
Last year the Put the Boots to Hunger™ campaign raised over $340,000 in food and funds between tarp sponsorship and Stampede events. Calgarians are incredibly generous and to date have raised a total of $3.5 million in food and funds since the campaign started in 2008.
