BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwired - Aug 4, 2016) - Coding Dojo, a pioneer in the coding bootcamp space, and Bellevue College Continuing Education today announced a partnership to deliver continuing education courses covering in-demand programming languages and technologies. These classes will be hosted at Bellevue College and Coding Dojo will provide the curriculum, instructors and access to its online platform for them.
Bellevue College, the third largest institution of higher learning in Washington, will be the first college to join Coding Dojo's Coding for Higher Education Program offered in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Jose and surrounding areas. By utilizing Coding Dojo curriculum and instructors, the program ensures higher education institutions have a quick and cost-effective way to roll out a cutting-edge programming curriculum.
Mark Veljkov, product manager with Bellevue College Continuing Education is excited to partner with Coding Dojo. "We have always prided ourselves on providing quality programs that are aligned with the needs of our high tech employers. By bringing on full-time Coding Dojo instructors immersed in the evolving tech space, we know we'll be able to arm our students with the most in-demand technologies."
Starting this fall, Bellevue College and Coding Dojo will initially offer two new Bellevue College Continuing Education courses for two software stacks used to build websites and web applications -- Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/MEAN. Courses will be a combination of evening and weekends onsite at Bellevue College taught by Coding Dojo instructors with remote support aided by Coding Dojo's online learning platform.
"There's a unique opportunity for higher education institutions and coding schools to partner together to get an even larger number of individuals up to speed on programming," said Richard Wang, CEO at Coding Dojo. "Coding skills are rapidly becoming a requirement in all industries and we want to give as many students as possible the opportunity to learn something that unlocks creativity and opens new career pathways."
The Bellevue College Continuing Education Ruby on Rails course will run from September 2016 to January 2017 and the JavaScript/MEAN course will run from November 2016 to February 2017. Each course will include three modules covering different aspects of the programming stack, costing $1,299 for an individual module or $3,500 for all three.
