Dryer Vent Wizard Owner Enjoys New Role as "A Man and His Van" in Lower Bucks County

BENSALEM, PA--(Marketwired - Aug 10, 2016) - For more than 30 years, Joe DeLorenzo worked as owner and operator of a family-owned supermarket -- tackling whatever job needed to be done while managing 60 to 100 employees. When competitive big box stores came to town, DeLorenzo was forced to close the business and looked for another opportunity.

"I've always enjoyed hands on work, and I don't miss the hectic pace of management," added DeLorenzo, who described a recent service call to a newer home. "It took a while to find where the dryer was vented, because nobody knew where it was. I discovered that the dryer had been vented into a soffit on the front porch."

When DeLorenzo opened up the soffit, buckets of lint rained down on the porch. He uncovered and prevented a dangerous fire hazard.

Educating customers about the importance of regular cleaning and maintenance of dryer vents for energy savings as well as fire prevention is another part of the job DeLorenzo takes seriously.

He said, "Boys Scouts even know that lint catches fire quicker than newspaper. You can't be too careful."

When not making service calls, DeLorenzo enjoys playing golf and his longtime hobby of train collecting.

As his DVW business grows, DeLorenzo plans to add a technician. In the meantime, he's happy being a "man and his van."
