SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 27, 2016) - The IPSO Alliance (IPSO) today announced that it will host an Open House and Reception on Oct. 18, 2016 at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront in Burlingame, California from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Open House will examine the issues remaining to be addressed for the internet of things (IoT) to reach its full potential. Chris Greer, director of cyberphysical system and smart cities at NIST, and Patrice Slupowski, SVP of Innovation at Orange, will deliver keynotes focused on how innovation is driving the IoT.
Additional presentations will showcase the Alliance's current work and activities, including its latest progress toward solving key challenges related to the semantic, protocol, and security, identity and privacy models for the IoT, as well as how these models impact interoperability.
Speakers will be followed by a mix-and-mingle happy hour reception with IoT product demonstrations from IPSO's members, including:
- STMicroelectronics will demo its IoT nodes and gateway technologies based on the STM32 ODE, with the IPSO Smart Objects data model used to represent the sensor and actuator resources on the nodes
- Micrium's demo combines the reliability of its embedded RTOS components with the versatility of the ARM mbed IoT Device Platform to deliver a powerful and modular foundation on which to build your IoT applications
- Synapse Wireless will demo its RF200 wireless modules, E20 internet gateway and SNAP Thing platform -- a combination of hardware and software tool sets that enable IoT developers to bridge intelligence to the networked "things" of the IoT and seamlessly integrate them into the cloud
- Additional demonstrations will be announced on our website as added to the program
The event is free to attend with advance registration, and guests may register on our website.
