Edie Fraser, CEO, STEMconnector® & Million Women Mentors, shared her words, “Women count. Use this book as a powerful accelerator and game-changer; how can we achieve total equity by 2050 if not before?”

In the corporate world, women hold only 19.9% of board seats, 5% of CEO positions and 21.1% of executive officials. Women represent 12% of CFOs, 17% of CTOs, 14% of CMOs and 48% of CHROs and yes, 76% of HR managers. Women entrepreneurs have started approximately 11.3 million businesses and generate over $1.6 trillion in revenue. Access to capital remains the growth issue in the U.S. and globally. In the U.S. only 4-10% of venture capital funds go to women. In the world of finance, just 9.4% of fund managers are women. Sweden and Norway lead the way with female representation in finance. Women investors have returns that are on average 12% higher than men. Technology is challenging. While women hold 57% of professional jobs, only 25% of computing workforce positions are held by women and 30% of the overall tech workforce. Women are, however, leading the way in social media as 68% of all women use social media, compared to 62% of all men.

Women and girls of color are far behind; yet STEM jobs are far closer to pay equity. 20% of current female high school students interested in a STEM discipline say they want to learn about mentoring and motivational programs to help prepare them for the future. And 1 in 10 female students interested in a STEM career report having a mentor in their lives. 65% of women who have been mentored go on to be mentors themselves. Million Women Mentors grows closer to reaching the 1 million commitment to mentor relationships pledged.
Many leaders step up and share their support:

“I applaud this book, Women's Quick Facts and urge all to use this information to build the case for the advancement of women and girls.” -- Lt. Governor of Iowa and Kim Reynolds, co-chair of the MWM.

“Knowledge makes us stronger and empowers us to take action. Walmart salutes the commitment through data and facts for women. We are proud to be part of Million Women Mentors and the Womens Quick Facts book." -- Karenann Terrell, CIO, Walmart.

“The worldwide release of Womens Quick Facts is a must have resource and mission critical to drive targeted enterprise growth enabled to more broadly deepen female diversity among the STEM talent pipeline and STEM workforce,” affirms Heidi Kleinbach-Sauter, SVP, Global R&D, PepsiCo.
