ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 7, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa, the industry's largest community management firm, has earmarked $100,000 for direct relief to victims of Hurricane Matthew. The storm has claimed at least one life since making landfall in the U.S. and is projected to move north along the coast of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina over the weekend.
The relief funds will be provided by Associa Cares, Associa's nonprofit organization which assists families across the country in need due to natural and man-made disasters.
"We know that many communities will be impacted by this storm and rebuilding efforts will be costly," says Associa Cares President Andrew Fortin. "The recovery process will be a long one for some families that experienced devastating losses and we hope that this donation will help them begin to get back on their feet and into their homes."
