Mountain View, CA, Oct. 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSO2 today announced that solutions partner IT Convergence (ITC) has implemented an agile system for a US-based jewelry chain using the 100% open source WSO2 integration platform. By enabling seamless data exchange across all 20 retail outlets, ITC has helped the jeweler to achieve better customer engagement, more accurate sales forecasting, and higher revenue growth. The full case study can be viewed online at http://wso2.com/casestudies/jewelry-chain-relies-on-wso2-to-seamlessly-integrate-20-retail-locations.
Growing a jewelry retail chain to 20 locations provided greater opportunities to reach consumers. However, gaps in the flow of information meant there was not a single, consistent view of customers that shopped at the chain’s multiple stores. WSO2 partner ITC was called in to address the challenge by building a robust and cost-effective integration solution that enabled real-time, multi-entry updates and data flow across the retailers’ various systems and physical locations.
The case study from WSO2 examines the factors that led ITC implement WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (WSO2 ESB) and WSO2 Data Services Server (WSO2 DSS) to provide seamless integration across the jewelry chain’s systems. It also reviews the business and technology considerations in designing the solution architecture, including the ability to examine, process, update and synchronize both historical and real-time data across the jewelers:
- Custom point-of-sales (POS) application
- Salesforce cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) solution
- Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) enterprise resource planning software
The case study then provides an overview of the agile, service-oriented architecture (SOA) in place today, along with future plans for expanding its functionality using WSO2 middleware.
“A product like WSO2 ESB provides you with not just good tooling but a lot of connectors and adapters as well, which made it much easier to get this type of project off the ground, without reinventing the wheel,” said Brian Crowley, IT Convergence executive director of enterprise architecture. “We went into this looking for the best tools for our customers, and we were blown away by what we could accomplish with WSO2 products.”
“IT Convergence is recognized for its proven expertise in developing integration solutions tailored to businesses’ demands,” said Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, WSO2 founder, CEO and chief architect. “We are excited by ITC’s success in integrating systems across 20 retail jewelry stores, enabling the chain to improve its customers’ experiences and grow sales, while gaining greater efficiency.”
