Last month, $28,000 was distributed by Associa Cares, an organization set up to benefit families across the country that are in need of assistance following a catastrophe at home such as a flood, fire or tornado.
Associa Cares dollars are contributed by employees and fundraising events. It relies on volunteers from national and local committees to help identify people in both Associa and non-Associa managed communities affected by tragedies.
Below is a list of the Associa companies that helped families in need in their respective areas of the country in September:
• Carlsbad, California - $5,000 provided to a homeowner employed within the Associa family who lost their home due to wildfire. The donation was made possible through Associa Home Office.
• Gainesville, Virginia – $2,500 provided to a family that lost a family member and a pet in a house fire. The donation was made possible through Community Management Corporation.
• Decorah, Iowa – $2,500 provided to a family whose home suffered severe flood damage. The donation was made possible through Associa Home Office.
• Tucson, Arizona - $2,000 provided to a family whose ceiling buckled following severe rains. The donation was made possible through Associa Arizona.
• Pacifica, California - $2,000 provided to a family whose home was destroyed by a fire. The donation was made possible through Associa Northern California.
• Moorestown, New Jersey - $2,000 provided to residents whose home sustained damage from a lightning strike. The donation was made possible through Associa Mid-Atlantic.
• Gaithersburg, Maryland - $2,000 provided to a family whose home was a total loss following a lighting strike. The donation was made possible through Legum & Norman.
• Bellmawr, New Jersey - $2,000 provided to a family whose home suffered major fire damage. The donation was made possible through Associa Mid-Atlantic.
• Manassas, Virginia - $1,500 provided to a family whose apartment was destroyed by fire. The donation was made possible through Community Management Corporation.
• Burke, Virginia - $1,500 provided to a family who was displaced from their home following a fire. The donation was made possible through Community Management Corporation.
• Richardson, Texas - $1,500 provided to a family whose home was a total loss following a lighting strike. The donation was made possible through Houston Community Management Services.
• Fort Collins, Colorado - $1,500 provided to a family who was displaced from their home following a fire. The donation was made possible through Colorado Association Services.
• Alexandria, Virginia - $1,000 provided to a family displaced for mold remediation following a water leak. The donation was made possible through Community Management Corporation.
• Colorado - $1,000 provided to a family who was displaced from their home following a fire. The donation was made possible through Colorado Association Services.
