Elsevier Announces Third eBook in Library Learning Trends Series

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - October 13, 2016) - Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced the publication of Current Trends in Information Literacy, the third volume in its Library Learning Trends eBook series. The series offers librarians and information resource managers access to free digital volumes that support and encourage learning and professional development in library sciences.

The Library Learning Trends series taps into the knowledge and expertise of authors for Chandos Publishing, the Elsevier imprint covering library and information science (LIS). Each title includes content excerpts focused on a central theme, providing readers with an introduction to new ideas and information on that topic.

Current Trends in Information Literacy is available in PDF format, and contains chapters from five Chandos books:

• Chapter 5 - "Science information literacy and the role of academic librarians," by Svetla Baykoucheva, an excerpt from the book, Managing Scientific Information and Research Data by Svetla Baykoucheva.
