NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 10, 2016) - Influenster, the product discovery and reviews platform, announced the winners of The 2nd Annual Influenster Reviewers' Choice Awards: Best in Beauty today. The winning beauty products were determined based on over 200K votes locked in by more than 84K voters. These top drugstore and luxury products of 2016 range from trendy cult favorites to timeless classics that have stood the test of time.
With over 10 million unbiased reviews generated by product junkies on Influenster, including more than 5 million authentic beauty reviews, this awards program was created to showcase Influenster's focus on user-generated content and community involvement. As a people's choice-style awards, this beauty election celebrates the best products in the industry. Unlike many other awards programs where the winners are determined by editors and experts, this Reviewers' Choice Awards is decided by the people, for the people.
Six nominees were chosen per award title based on member activity and brand stature on Influenster.com. Aspects of each of these including: the quality, quantity, and recency of reviews for each product, product ratings, commonly-used phrases, questions asked and answers given about each product, shares, and product lists created that include each product -- were assessed and aggregated to select the nominees. Members and non-members were then invited to participate in a vote that took place from October 10 - 23, 2016 to select winners from the nominee pool.
