San Diego, CA, Nov. 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- November 17, 2016 – On November 15, 2016, HoverCam and Qomo Hite Vision (“QOMO”) moved for a joint dismissal of HoverCam’s patent infringement action pending in the United States District Court in the Southern District of California. The parties have reached a confidential business resolution of their disputes. Accordingly, HoverCam has requested the United States International Trade Commission to lift its Exclusion Order that prohibits QOMO from importing and selling QOMO document cameras and software that infringe Pathway’s U.S. Patent No. 8,508,751. QOMO has also requested the United States Patent & Trademark Office (PTO) to dismiss the two remaining grounds pending in the inter partes review (IPR) it filed against the ‘751 patent. In September, HoverCam was successful in convincing the PTO that eight out of the ten invalidity grounds raised in the IPR by QOMO lacked merit.
