PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Nov 21, 2016) - Puppet, the standard for automating the delivery and operation of the software that powers everything around us, today announced the appointment of Marianne Calder as managing director and vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to continue scaling Puppet's international expansion. In this new role, Marianne will lead Puppet's customer operations, including sales, marketing, and customer success throughout EMEA to help fuel Puppet's aggressive expansion in the region. Puppet also announced that Nick Smyth has been promoted to vice president of engineering.

Marianne Calder
Marianne most recently served as managing director of collaboration sales at Cisco, where she led the sales and architecture team to growth, and set the strategic direction for the $1 billion collaboration business in EMEAR. During her 21-year career at Cisco, Marianne also drove the transformation of Cisco's EMEAR inside sales organization and was integral to the creation and development of the global accounts program, which at the time represented more than 30 percent of Cisco's business.

Nick Smyth
Nick is a 20+ year technology veteran, having led engineering and technical teams at Nortel, IBM and Puppet. In his tenure at Puppet, Nick has proven his leadership and delivered at the highest levels. He brings strong engineering disciplines alongside a strong customer focus and has been instrumental increasing product velocity at Puppet. Nick will continue to work from Puppet's Belfast office.
New London Office
Today, Puppet has approximately 75 employees in three offices in EMEA (Belfast, Czech Republic, and London) to support sales, engineering, customer success and marketing. Located at the Aldgate Tower (2 Leman Street in London), the new 7,500 square foot office space will enable Puppet to double its EMEA headcount. The office was awarded the best possible Public Transport Access Level by Transport for London and features an open floor plan with natural light and sweeping views of central London.
