NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 14, 2016) - Fodor's Travel, the leading name in travel recommendations for over 80 years, today released its seventh annual Fodor's Go List -- along with its first-ever No List. Together, the lists provide comprehensive travel guidance for 2017, highlighting can't-miss spots that should be on every traveler's radar while identifying places to skip in the upcoming year.
Both lists are meticulously curated by the experts at Fodor's Travel who log countless miles traveling across the globe each year. The full lists can be viewed at http://www.fodors.com/news/photos/fodors-go-list-2017 and http://www.fodors.com/news/photos/fodors-no-list-2017.
The Go List: Hot Destinations
This year's Go List includes destinations for every type of trip -- from the vineyards of Bordeaux to the baroque architecture of Oaxaca to the untouched majesty of Madagascar.
Continuing a tradition that started last year, Fodor's has selected a top destination for the year: Helsinki, Finland. With Finland celebrating its 100th anniversary of independence in 2017, the capital is gearing up for a year of celebrations.
To select the 2017 Go List, the Fodor's editorial team began with an initial list of dozens of global and domestic nominees, which they narrowed down to the top 25 places to go next year. The end result is a Go List that highlights travel destinations sure to suit every taste, trip length and budget.

The First-Ever No List: Places to Skip (For Now)
"Travelers rely on Fodor's to highlight the top destinations to visit each year, and our editors debated longer and harder on this year's Go List than in any previous year," said Jeremy Tarr, Editorial Director of Fodors.com. "During the process, we decided to take our recommendations a step further by releasing our very first No List to alert travelers of the destinations worth skipping this year -- but not necessarily forever."
From destinations that are under construction (Dubai) to under threat (the Great Barrier Reef), the No List is the definitive guide to places that are better left off travelers' lists in 2017, and also provides alternate suggestions for each destination on the list.
