LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - December 15, 2016) - Continuing the entertainment legacies launched by her grandfathers, comedian Buddy Hackett and hit songwriter, Ron Miller, 10-year-old multi-talented singer and dancer Ashleigh Hackett (www.ashleighhackett.com) releases her third music video and recording with an infectious, original new song, "Slay."

"Slay" was penned by her mother, producer/singer/songwriter and performer Lisa Dawn Miller (www.lisadawnmiller.com) along with her writing partner, Mark Matson.
As Miller describes the upbeat song, "Slay is about the power that girls have to change the world and to 'fight for freedom and the choice.'" She continues, "The video starts out with Ashleigh getting up in the morning reading about all the bad news happening around the world -- then she opens an iBook which starts out as a story about a dragon who overpowers a young slayer. She begins to daydream and is seen as a fashion model who orders her crew to 'slay' at which point they turn from pretty fashion models into a tough, strong 'army of love.' 'Slay' then takes on a different meaning at the end when the young slayer overpowers the dragon and the negative forces." Miller continues, "The message is clear -- be strong, stand up for freedom and what you believe in and if you 'live your life in your own way, you will slay!'"
The success of Ashleigh's first song, "Let's Go!" led to her headlining at the 27th Annual Kids Fair in Charleston, S.C. last year. "Let's Go!" is an empowering anthem and high-energy celebration of friendship and the power that exists when young girls bond together and do things their own way. It was inspired by Ashleigh's love for dance and the Lifetime reality series "Dance Moms" and its central figure, Abby Lee Miller.

Ashleigh is a recurring guest star in the hit musical, "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show," in which she portrays a young dancer who shares the stage alongside the character of "Sammy Davis, Jr." in the number "Candy Man," one of Davis' biggest hits. She toured throughout the country with the holiday version of the hit show, "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Christmas" to rave reviews.
Ashleigh's older brother, 16-year-old singer and actor, Oliver Richman (www.oliverrichman.com), recently released a new holiday recording, "Celebrate Me Home" -- the title track to Kenny Loggins' 1977 debut album. Oliver has released several other songs and music videos including, "Believe," a powerful rendition of Bruno Mars' "Count on Me," which he arranged and performed as a piano-only ballad, and a special 50th Anniversary recording and music video of "For Once in My Life" written by his and Ashleigh's grandfather, legendary songwriter Ron Miller. At just 4 years old, Ashleigh appeared as the "Angel" in her brother's remake of their grandfather's classic Christmas song, "One Little Christmas Tree," resulting in an invitation by Stevie Wonder asking the young Richman to share the stage with him at the Nokia Theatre, performing to a standing ovation from more than 7,500 people.
Ashleigh's late grandfather, Buddy Hackett, was one of the most successful comedians of all time, headlining across the globe for more than five decades and appearing more than any other guest on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He starred in "The Music Man," "The Love Bug," "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," and "The Little Mermaid."
Ashleigh is a 5th grader in Los Angeles. She loves school and studies dance over 20 hours per week.
