5G Americas Board Leadership Announced: Tom Keathley, AT&T, to be Chairman

BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwired - December 21, 2016) - 5G Americas, the industry trade association and voice of 5G and LTE for the Americas, today announced that Tom Keathley, Senior Vice President for Architecture and Design at AT&T has been re-elected to serve as the 2017 Chairman of the 5G Americas Board of Governors. The Board has also re-elected Hans Ovesen, Director, Group Function and Government, Industry Relations at Ericsson, to serve as the organization's Treasurer.

Tom Keathley has been active in telecommunications for more than 31 years and is Senior Vice President for Architecture and Design at AT&T where he is responsible for the delivery of their mobility network as well as wireless device requirements and certification. This will be his second term as Chairman of 5G Americas.

Hans Ovesen has been with Ericsson for more than 25 years and is responsible for the company's work with numerous global industry groups and organizations. Ovesen has been active with 5G Americas Board of Governors for over ten years and his continued leadership supports an international vision to Board.
