SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 03, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Satellite Healthcare, a leading not-for-profit dialysis care provider, is pleased to announce that the Norman S. Coplon Extramural Grant Program is now accepting applications for 2017.
Named after the Stanford University nephrologist who founded Satellite Healthcare, the Norman S. Coplon Extramural Grant Program has become one of the nation's largest private research endowments for kidney disease treatment. Since 2000, the program has funded over $15 million in research to improve the lives of patients. Each 2017 grant recipient will be awarded $200,000 over two years.
The Satellite Healthcare Norman S. Coplon Extramural Grant Program is no longer limited to young researchers, and calls for applications by clinicians and scientists with a passion and expertise in the applied pragmatic clinical research arena focused in two areas:
- Home Dialysis Dropout Reduction: Opportunities for improving care to reduce dropout rates in home dialysis
- Dialysis Delivery Process Improvement: Procedural improvements aimed at optimization of dialysis delivery to enhance patient capabilities, patient experience and reduce hospitalizations/re-hospitalizations
Satellite Healthcare invites qualified United States researchers to apply for the 2017 Norman S. Coplon Extramural Grant Program. The application period is open until 5:00PM PST on February 10th, 2017.
