Cellular Biomedicine Group Announces Results of 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders


SHANGHAI, China and CUPERTINO, Calif., May 01, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cellular Biomedicine Group Inc. (NASDAQ:CBMG) (“CBMG” or the “Company”), clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm engaged in the development of effective immunotherapies for cancer and stem cell therapies for degenerative diseases, today announced the voting results of its 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, held on April 28, 2017 in Cupertino, California.  Approximately 65.7% of the Company’s outstanding shares were represented at the 2017 Annual Meeting.

The following business items were approved at the Annual Meeting:

  1. The election of three (3) “Class II” directors, each of whom will be elected for a term of three years, or until the election and qualification of their successors: Chun Kwok Alan Au, Gang Ji and Bizuo (Tony) Liu.
  2. Ratification of the appointment of BDO China Shu Lun Pan Certified Public Accountants LLP as the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2017.
  3. The approval of an amendment to the Cellular Biomedicine Group, Inc. 2014 Stock Incentive Plan to increase the number of shares available for issuance thereunder by 1,000,000 shares.
  4. A non-binding advisory vote on the Company’s executive compensation.
