Ten Missing Children Cases In ten Days: Adam, Trevor and Mitchell O'Brien

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - May 17, 2017) - The Missing Children Society of Canada is highlighting 10 cases leading up to International Missing Children's Day on May 25th with hope that the public can help provide answers for our searching families.

Adam, Trevor and Mitchell O'Brien are three Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador brothers who have been missing since Nov. 9, 1996. It's alleged they were abducted by their father, Gary Joseph O'Brien, who did not have legal custody of his sons.

It's not unusual for missing children in Canada to have been abducted by a family member who does not have legal custody. They disappear and in cases such as that of the O'Briens, they are never seen or heard from again.

Adam O'Brien was 14 when he disappeared. At that time he was 5' tall, 99 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. On Oct. 28 this year, he will turn 35.

Trevor O'Brien was 11 when he went missing. This year on May 8, he'll celebrate his 32nd birthday. At the time he went missing he was 4'8" tall, 71 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Mitchell O'Brien, the youngest of the brothers was four years old when he disappeared. Then he was 3' tall and 46 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. On Nov. 29 this year he will turn 26.

This Oct. 17, father Gary O'Brien will turn 61 years old. At the time, his sons disappeared he was a 40-year-old man with grey hair and blue eyes, 5'10" tall and 135 pounds.

Anyone with information about the O'Brien boys or their father should contact the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary at 709-729-8000
