Mountainview Low-Residency MFA Students and Alumni Achieve Honors and Distinctions


Manchester, NH, May 18, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Manchester, NH:  MFA candidate Nadia Owusu published a short essay titled “My First Panic Attack” in the March 23 edition of The New York Times Metropolitan Diary. In the piece Nadia describes her move to New York from Kampala, Uganda, to start college at Pace University and recounts her harrowing adventures in the Big Apple.

MFA candidate Kevin P. Keating was recently awarded the Cleveland Arts Prize, the oldest award of its kind in the United States and a testament to the standard of excellence and quality of artists in Northeast Ohio. Previous recipients include Toni Morrison, Rita Dove, and Harvey Pekar.

Alumnus Elizabeth Rush has an essay titled “Stormy Waters” in the June edition of Harper’s Magazine, in which she and co-author Rebecca Elliott explore the battle over New York City's flood zones.
