Smartcool Systems Inc. and Panoramic Power Enter Value Added Reseller Agreement

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - June 20, 2017) - Ted Konyi, CEO, Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SSC) (OTCBB: SSCFF), is pleased to announce that the company has entered into a VAR (Value Added Reseller) agreement with Panoramic Power Ltd.

Panoramic Power has developed innovative new power metering sensors that provide device level consumption data. The sensors are self powered, inexpensive, easy to install and report to a powerful web based dashboard where users can monitor power consumption.

Speaking about Panoramic's technology, Ted Konyi said, "We were introduced to the Panoramic Power monitoring solution by one of our major UK clients. A large facilities management group that has deployed the Panoramic solution at a number of their managed sites in the UK. At one large client site in Warrington, UK, Smartcool have installed systems on one large Trane chiller system and multiple Mitsubishi Heat Pumps. This site has Panoramic device level monitoring equipment installed and the facilities management group was able to verify the efficacy of the Smartcool system on a real time basis. Energy savings averaged over 20%, with some readings showing close to 40% reduction. The ability to isolate the compressors being affected by Smartcool's technology provided conclusive evidence of the effectiveness and is leading to a rollout of other Smartcool installations. This has been a tremendous tool to confirm the efficacy of the Smartcool product, which in many cases is difficult, given that most commercial users only see total power consumption."

Smartcool has become a reseller of Panoramic Power technology as it also can provide ongoing fault detection on various other electrical circuits from motors to lighting. The company believes that many of its clients and distributors will be interested in using the technology far beyond simply verifying the efficacy of Smartcool technology.
