K2 Announces New Connector to Microsoft Flow and Microsoft Logic Apps Through Updated Workflow API

The updated Workflow API will enable K2 customers to integrate with third-party solutions.

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 28, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- K2 today announced a new connector for Microsoft Flow and Logic Apps as part of a significant update to its K2 Workflow API. The new connector enables K2’s platform to integrate efficiently with more systems and services than ever before, and expands on an already richly extensible platform. K2’s broad set of APIs makes it attractive to developers, IT and business users who need to build process automation applications quicker and at scale.

The K2 Workflow API was updated to leverage a modern, REST-based, Swagger-enabled interface that makes it easy for developers to discover and use the API more efficiently. The new connector to Microsoft Flow enables users of all types to rapidly utilize the deep functionality and power of K2 in tandem with Microsoft Flow in a visual way – without having to interact with an API. The connector benefits customers in two distinct ways:

  • K2 customers can utilize Microsoft Flow’s large ecosystem of connectors to enable many cloud events (including Internet of Things and line of business events) to interact with K2 without code.
  • K2 and Microsoft Flow users can leverage the capability of each platform to add even more value to their process solutions.

“K2’s mission all along has been around making process automation possible for every organization around the world,” said Dave Marcus, senior vice president of technology alliances, K2. “We fundamentally believe in if-this, then-that for business scenarios and Microsoft Flow is a great example of a technology that enables this in the right way. What our customers want is if-this, then K2, and that’s what we’re providing today.”

The connector can be easily created in Microsoft Flow and Logic Apps using the Swagger file in customers’ K2 Appit for SharePoint instances. In the coming weeks, the K2 connector will be published as a pre-built asset and available in the Microsoft AppSource gallery for Microsoft Flow and Logic Apps. Customers can quickly discover K2 and integrate the platform with Microsoft Flow and Logic Apps easily.

“We are excited to enable the K2 connector, which adds more process automation functionality for Microsoft Flow customers,” said Stephen Siciliano, Principal Group Program Manager, Microsoft Flow. “Through Microsoft Flow, we are enabling any business user to easily create workflows that connect to data in 140+ different services. Matching that with K2’s nearly two-decades of enterprise process automation experience presents a massive opportunity for customers and furthers our already strong collaboration with K2.”
