Kessler Foundation is recognized for its workplace camaraderie and commitment to quality of life.

East Hanover, NJ, July 21, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kessler Foundation, a New Jersey based nonprofit organization in the field of disability, has been named one of The 25 Best Small and Medium Places to Work in New York 2017 by Fortune – with 99% of employees stating the Foundation has a “great atmosphere.” Research and consulting firm, Great Place to Work, surveyed more than 137,000 employees in New York state and the surrounding metropolitan area to compile the list of 25 employers, with a staff of 1,000 or less. Kessler Foundation stood out from the crowd for its corporate camaraderie and commitment to quality of life.

“We are extremely honored to be named one of Fortune’s Best Places to Work 2017. This ranking confirms our dedication to a collaborative and supportive workplace environment," said Rodger DeRose, president and chief executive officer of Kessler Foundation. “This distinguishment is emblematic of both the Foundation’s collective employee support efforts, and our employees shared passion towards our mission to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.”

The certification program identifies the metropolitan area’s top employers that show commitment to their employees’ professional and personal development. More than 50 different metrics were analyzed in the survey, including management transparency, professional and personal development, meaningful work, promotion equity, the generosity of benefit programs, and demographic patterns to ensure they were creating great workplaces for all employees, regardless of who they are or what they do for the organization.

"The Best Workplaces give themselves a competitive advantage over peers by creating an environment where trust, collaboration and innovation can thrive,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work.

Kessler Foundation was also ranked (5) as Best Workplace for Recent Grads 2016, and named one of NJBIZ’s Best Places to Work in New Jersey 2017 for the 6th consecutive year, under the small to medium-sized organization category.
