SRS Real Estate Partners Adds Accomplished Investment Services Team and New Market Leader in South Florida

Expands SRS’ Investment Services Capabilities in the Southeast with Addition of Steve Miskew and Shannon Rex


DALLAS, Aug. 28, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SRS Real Estate Partners is proud to welcome two senior investment services professionals and a new market leader to the SRS South Florida office located in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Steve Miskew joins as managing principal, Investment Properties Group and as market leader of the S. Florida office. Shannon Rex joins SRS as senior director, Debt & Equity Group. As part of SRS’ Investment Properties Group, Steve will focus on investment property sales and acquisitions for clients in South Florida and beyond. In addition, he will lead the South Florida office and be tasked with recruiting, expansion, and elevating the SRS brand in the region. Focusing on the structuring and placement of debt and equity for acquisitions, dispositions, and capitalizations of commercial real estate properties, Shannon Rex brings an entirely new set of skills to SRS as a debt and equity broker. This new service and accomplished team further establishes SRS’ role as an industry leader in retail investment services and broadens SRS’ capabilities in one of the strongest retail markets in the U.S.

Steve joins SRS with more than 33 years of investment sales experience, taking part in a multitude of investment transactions including outright sales, purchases, and joint ventures for leading institutional and private investors. He has been directly involved in transactions totaling in excess of $3 billion. Prior to SRS, Steve was a co-founder and managing director at RJS Realty Group, Inc. Over a thirty year period, he closed numerous transactions representing a variety of notable institutional and private real estate owners, in addition to managing the firm's business development and production activities. Before co-founding RJS with his associates in 1986, Steve was an investment specialist with Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services where he was a part of one of the company's leading investment sales team nationally. Steve is an active member of ICSC and has served on the editorial board of The Florida Real Estate Journal and the executive committee of the advisory board of the Bergstrom School for Real Estate Studies at the University of Florida. Steve currently serves on the operating board of the Achievement Centers for Children and Families and also the board of directors of the Delray Beach Historical Society.

Shannon joins SRS with more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate investment banking, sales, and management. His primary focus includes structuring capital for portfolios of real estate, placing debt and equity for small to large scale development projects, as well as placement of debt and equity for stabilized properties. He most recently was a principal at Rex Capital Group, a real estate advisory firm, and chief financial officer for HHC Florida, LLC, also known as The Seagate Companies, which develops, owns and operates assets focused in the hospitality sector. Over his career, Shannon has arranged capital markets transactions with a total value in the billions across all asset classes throughout the Southeastern U.S., which range in size from $5 million to more than $100 million.
