Washington, D.C., Oct. 17, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) was privileged to honor 48 leading companies for their commitment to supplier diversity at the USHCC’s Million Dollar Club Breakfast during its signature National Convention on October 3rd in Dallas, TX.
The Million Dollar Club was established to recognize corporations that actively demonstrate a commitment to minority and women owned enterprises through their work with Hispanic suppliers. This year’s honorees have invested a minimum of $25 million to upwards of $1 billion or more in contracts with Hispanic-owned companies. In total these companies have invested approximately $17.3 billion collectively.
“We applaud this year’s Million Dollar Club honorees as true trailblazers in supplier diversity. These industry leaders are turning the word of inclusion into actions of inclusivity by their continued investment of resources to ensure that their suppliers reflect the faces of their customers, employees, and shareholders. The USHCC enthusiastically celebrates and thanks these companies’ leading efforts as part of our Million Dollar Club,” said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez.
“As our country expands and diversifies its workforce, we need to create the space and opportunity for similar diversity with our suppliers,” said USHCC Chairman Don Salazar. “The USHCC is committed to this philosophy and is proud of our Million Dollar Club honorees for their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the diverse supplier network that reflects America’s diverse communities.”
