NICE, France, Jan. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CES 2018 – Swisscom, Switzerland’s leading telecoms company and one of its leading IT companies and Ethertronics, a leader in high-performance smart antenna solutions for wireless communications, announced the collaboration with Ethertronics aimed at solving customers home networking issues. Swisscom’s “WLAN-Box”, is a newly-deployed 3 in 1 Wi-Fi device which acts as WLAN repeater, access point and video bridge for Swisscom broadband and video subscribers that incorporates Ethertronics high-performance Wi-Fi antenna solutions to maximize performance.

In order to help meet the challenges of delivering robust wireless coverage for video, internet, and smart home applications, Swisscom’s designers turned to Ethertronics advanced antenna solutions to maximize the radio link performance of its new WLAN-Box access point. By leveraging Ethertronics’ expertise in advanced antenna designs, systems-level optimization, and robust testing methodology, Swisscom was able to deliver the freedom and flexibility of wireless video transmission with full 4K-HD support.
