SEATTLE, Jan. 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, Cambia Grove is announcing a new initiative, the Health Care Startup Census, to build on the momentum it has achieved with the innovation community over recent years and to demonstrate its next stage in achieving its mission to transform health. Cambia Grove is also excited to announce the appointment of Julie Panek Anderson as the new assistant director of programming.
Health Care Startup Census
As Washington state’s only health care innovation hub, Cambia Grove is frequently asked how many health care startups are currently based in Seattle or in the state. The Health Care Startup Census is a new database of current health care startups located in Washington state, which will expand in the future to also include startups in Oregon, Idaho, Utah and British Columbia. The database will serve as a resource to the innovation ecosystem seeking to learn more about health care startups in the region, what they do and who they are.
This initiative will help drive Cambia Grove’s mission of bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and the traditional health care sector. The census aims to break down the barriers to entry by connecting the network of health care changemakers, nurturing health care entrepreneurs through programs that support innovation, and expanding the community of innovators beyond Washington state and to other industries.
Julie Panek Anderson
As Cambia Grove’s new assistant director of programming, Julie will lead the creation and implementation of the new CIC (Convene – Identify – Catalyze) Solutions Series. This series is built upon the idea that the community has all the right ingredients to solve big system-wide health care challenges. CIC (Convene – Identify – Catalyze) will convene partners around topics, identify system level barriers and catalyze solutions as a community to overcome identified barriers. The first topic of the year for this series will focus on data.
Julie comes to us from Blue Shield of California, where she spent 5 years driving cross-organizational collaboration as part of the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program. As Senior Manager of the ACO Program Development and Innovation team, she drove multi-disciplinary efforts to build transformative new care models and better enable the ACO network through improvements in technology enablement and team-based care.
