TORONTO, March 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Media are invited to Pearson International Airport on Tuesday, March 13th to witness the arrival of 18 dogs rescued from a South Korean dog meat farm. In total, more than 80 dogs rescued from this facility will be transported to Canada this month. Representatives with Humane Society International/Canada will be on hand to field questions about the rescue and the campaign to end the dog meat trade.
Media with resources in South Korea are also invited to attend the closure of the dog meat farm in Siheung (near Seoul) on March 12th. Additionally, HSI/Canada staff participating in the farm closure will be available for phone or email interviews from South Korea March 12th-14th.
