In 2015, Mr. Handelman founded the M Handelman Group, an accounting and business advisory services firm, headquartered in Westlake Village, Ca. He has previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Lion Biotechnologies a public company engaged in the research, development, and commercialization of autologous cellular immunotherapies optimizing personalized, Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL) from February, 2011 until June, 2015. Prior to that position. Mr. Handelman served as Chief Financial Officer and as a financial management consultant of Oxis International, Inc., a public company engaged in the research, development, and commercialization of nutraceutical products and as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of TechnoConcepts, Inc., formerly a public company engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing wireless communications semiconductors, or microchips. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer of Interglobal Waste Management, Inc., a manufacturing company, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Janex International, Inc., a children’s toy manufacture, and as Chief Financial Officer of the Los Angeles Kings, a National Hockey League franchise. Mr. Handelman is a certified public accountant and holds a degree in accounting from the City University of New York.

At the age of 27, Townsend gave up his life of travel, bicycle racing, and retail subsistence and joined a company selling B2B long distance phone service (back when people paid for such things.) Driving an hour each way to make 120+ cold calls each day provided plenty of time to consider this was not a sustainable long term situation. Through hard work, determination, and a dash of luck, he was able to quickly leverage this experience into a position with a highly reputable national provider.
Aggressive job-hopping worked well for over the next six years and he soon went from rolling burritos to vice president at a Fortune 500 company.
Despite a high salary, he found himself miserable and exchanged his salary and job security for the entrepreneurial life. After an eight-year run and with much to be proud of, he closed down the successful company he started to live largely stress-free life of the strategic consultant serving founders and CEOs of companies who strive to evolve from entrepreneurial selling to build sales teams that drive dramatic revenue growth and scaled growth.

With a BBA degree in Marketing from Pace University and years of experience in the tech industry, Nick brings a powerful combination of social and digital expertise blended with an understanding and passion for technological disruption to his work at Lannister Holdings.
Nick is focused on the development of our social and digital messaging platforms, integrations and continual multi-vertical communications strategies. Through his experience obtaining his degree focused in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services paired with his real world tech world knowledge, Nick brings the tools and power of a great content creator and strategist to our work here at Lannister.
