County supervisor Greg Cox addressed a press conference announcing the plan of San Diego county to adopt a massive overhaul in the drug abuse treatment program. Back in 2015, California became the first state to use the federal waiver through which a state could devise its own treatment program by using federal money. The Medi-Cal program brings public agencies and service providers together for better coordination.
