NEW YORK, May 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, the premier event for disruptive and sustainable fashion, REMODE, announced its launch. Founded by UBM plc, the creator of world-renowned fashion events COTERIE, PROJECT, FN PLATFORM and MAGIC, REMODE will bring together established and up-and-coming fashion brands, as well as innovators across the entire value chain of the fashion business, to share ideas, find practical solutions and forge new connections. The two-day event will be held on November 13-14, 2018 in downtown Los Angeles at the LACC.
REMODE’s initial lineup of more than 50 confirmed speakers include CEOs and senior executives from fashion brands, retailers, investors and sustainability experts including Hanes Brands, Asics, GREATS, Fashion Revolution, Wearable X, Maison de Mode, Alice & Olivia, Ba&Sh and Superdry, as well as celebrity fashion designers like Rachel Roy.
“We are attracting speakers who are solving the industry’s greatest challenges,” said REMODE founder and fashion entrepreneur Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel. “From the yarn to the final consumer, REMODE is bringing together all sectors of the fashion industry to collaborate, innovate and take action towards growth. Attendees will leave the event equipped to break barriers and understand how to truly make a difference within their organizations.”
As part of this announcement, Amanda Parkes, Chief Innovation Officer of Future Tech Lab and professor at both MIT and Columbia has been named Content Curator. She will work closely with Mr. Hurstel on developing the various industry themes and content that will be both engaging and actionable.
Attendees represent some of the industry’s major, most disruptive and emerging fashion brands and retailers, from all categories. Together with innovators across fashion’s entire value chain, they will connect through talks, workshops, exhibits and networking events. REMODE is supported by sponsors including Google, HSBC, Tmall, First Insight, Hilldun, MAZARS, Fashion Go, Le Souk, Sourcemap and Fourth Floor, and is in partnership with the CFDA, California Fashion Association, NY Fashion Tech Lab, XRC Labs and others.
“The rapidly evolving fashion landscape challenges designers to grow their businesses in new and innovative ways,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “By partnering with UBM on REMODE, we can help our designers navigated the new realities of the fashion business.”

About REMODE
REMODE is the premier global fashion event for disruptive and sustainable fashion. The inaugural event, which takes place in Los Angeles on November 13th and 14th, will bring together established and up-and-coming fashion brands, as well as innovators across the entire value chain of the fashion business, to share ideas, find practical solutions and forge new connections. Today's fashion brands must change as the consumer is the new channel. This requires deep transformation of their businesses including different financing, shorter time to market, new skills, new tools, new technologies, and new materials, and require new solution providers.
