LITTLE RIVER, S.C., May 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PCT LTD (OTC Pink:PCTL), a leader in environmentally safe technologies and products, recently announced approved EPA Product Registrations for its Hydrolyte® disinfectant products. These Registrations are required by EPA before the kill claims for effectiveness against specific microbial pathogens can be printed on the product label.
The company received US EPA Product Registration #92108-1. This registration indicates that the EPA was provided with sufficient independent laboratory AOAC efficacy testing data to support PCT claims that our Hydrolyte® product is effective in killing a broad range of microbial pathogens, including C-Diff, TB, HCV, HIV-1, CRE, VRE and MRSA, as well as other bacteria and viruses, qualifying Hydrolyte® as a hospital-level disinfectant.
Hydrolyte® also meets the disinfection requirements of OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Guidelines, U.S. EPA and U.S. CDC criteria and guidance for using an EPA-registered hospital disinfectant with label claims for non-enveloped viruses (e.g. norovirus, rotavirus, adenovirus) to disinfect environmental surfaces, allowing it to be used to disinfect areas contaminated with Ebola when used as directed. Additionally, Hydrolyte® is effective in killing critical microbes found in the veterinary medicine setting: Bordetella, Canine parvovirus (parvo) and Canine distemper. These effectiveness “kill” claims, which are necessary for sales in the Veterinarian industry, will be printed on our “Vet” labels, opening that market sector for the company.
