LITTLE RIVER, S.C., May 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PCT LTD (OTC Pink:PCTL) (formerly, Bingham Canyon Corporation) (OTC Pink:BGHM), a leading provider of green cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting solutions, reports that it has successfully concluded the In-Hospital Beta Trials of its Annihilyzer® Infection Control System to alleviate the growing problem of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs).
Soon after installation of the first Annihilyzer® Infection Control System at Johnston UNC Health Care Hospital, Annihilyzer® Infection Control Systems were also installed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, and Fairfield University Nursing School, Fairfield, CT in January 2018 for pre-contract trials and demonstrations. The Company used the initial four to five-months, December 2017 through April 2018, phase of operations at these three institutions as a Beta Test evaluation of the Annihilyzer® Infection Control System’s performance while being employed by hospital personnel in the hospital facilities settings.
The Beta Test is an external (real world) pilot-test of a product before commercial quantity production. The Annihilyzer® System had passed through extensive, internal testing at the PCT R&D facility in Little River, SC; but, some minor problems require user participation to become apparent. At these three Beta Partner facilities, the Annihilyzer® System was tested under normal, everyday conditions of use by hospital and nursing school staff to identify any remaining issues.
Beta Program Results
As expected a number of issues were identified and all successfully resolved. The results of the hospital trials in the various applications and settings helped to improve the hardware, software, and processes to better meet the needs of the different user groups: management, supervisors and staff.
All three trials resulted in acceptance of the Annihilyzer® System and equipment by the facility management and long term Annihilyzer® contracts with the host hospitals, Johnston UNC Health Care and SUNY Downstate Medical, as well as the Fairfield University Nursing School. The multi-year contracts include physical expansion of the Annihilyzer® Service with additional Annihilyzer® Infection Control Systems and related equipment being installed in additional buildings or areas which were not receiving Annihilyzer® services during the Beta phase.
