OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BVCI, part of the Black & Veatch family of companies and a leading provider of construction services, announced today that R. Neil Riddle has been named President of BVCI.
Backed by nearly three decades of experience in project management and execution for the power market – including fossil, nuclear and biomass – Riddle joins BVCI during a time of increased focus on the power grid. Utilities, developers and infrastructure companies are working to modernize systems to maximize reliability and resilience. Riddle will provide leadership and strategic direction while helping to position the business for future growth.
Riddle brings a strong industry perspective and substantial experience in setting strategic direction, managing growth, and developing and implementing operational procedures for North American union construction projects.
“Our power, water and telecommunications clients are increasingly looking for a single source to execute projects from development to deployment – delivering safely, on time and on budget,” said Steve Edwards, Chairman and CEO of Black & Veatch. “BVCI is uniquely positioned to provide quality construction solutions across these industries, and Neil’s deep experience and knowledge will add invaluable insight and expertise.”
During his career, Riddle has held a variety of roles – from serving as a field-based construction manager on major industrial projects to roles in organizational management, business development, P&L management and cost controls, and executive leadership. He is skilled in all phases of project management and execution, and has been formally involved in contract development, risk management and supply management.
Before joining BVCI, Riddle served as President of Caddell Power in Atlanta, Georgia, where he had complete P&L responsibility for the company’s heavy industrial, nuclear and fossil power business lines.
