First UCaaS solution in its category to successfully complete two FedRAMP annual assessments
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Collab9 today announced it successfully completed its second FedRAMPSM Annual Continuous Monitoring Assessment. It is the first FedRAMP Authorized Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider to do so. This third-party audit, an important part of the company’s obligation to continuously examine and improve the effectiveness of its procedures, confirms that collab9’s cloud-based service still meets the strict security criteria for federal government use.
This achievement underscores collab9’s ongoing investment in technology, its commitment to maintaining a quality risk management program, and its goal of fulfilling the communications and collaboration needs of the federal, state and local government. The company’s go-to-market strategy includes delivering a federally-compliant and scalable UCaaS offering that enables agencies to modernize their communications infrastructure with significantly less overhead and less risk than if they did it all themselves.
“I am extremely proud of our accomplishments with respect to FedRAMP. It takes rock-solid systems and processes, and very dedicated people, to meet the security demands associated with federal cloud computing,” said Kevin Schatzle, collab9 CEO. “We keenly understand the government’s need for innovative products such as ours: solutions built to empower an agile and forward-looking workforce while also satisfying the numerous restrictions designed to address security and privacy concerns. Collab9’s engineers concentrate on technology that will improve our service capabilities and exceed established security standards, ensuring that ours is the most robust and secure UCaaS product available. Throughout our organization, we focus on enhancing customer relationships – including with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board and U.S. Customs and Border Protection – by helping diverse public-sector constituents succeed in their important missions.”
Collab9 became the first FedRAMP Authorized UCaaS provider when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted it an Authority to Operate in 2016.
Collab9 integrates voice, video, messaging, mobility, presence, conferencing, e911 and contact center services in one secure platform custom tailored to the unique security requirements of the public-sector. It also holds the distinction of offering its best-of-breed hosted UC services through several government contracting vehicles, including the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70, NASPO ValuePoint, and EIS, as part of its strategy to simplify public-sector agency cloud deployments.
