Dallas, TX, Aug. 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Magna5, a national provider of cloud, managed IT and professional services, today introduced Gerry Gallagher, a tenured enterprise and managed services veteran of 40 years, as its new senior vice president of sales.
Gallagher brings an elite pedigree to Magna5, a NewSpring Holdings portfolio company, which includes more than $2 billion in career sales bookings and numerous accomplishments at the highest levels of executive management.
“We are elated to welcome an executive of Gerry’s caliber to Magna5, where his extensive knowledge and remarkable track record of building teams and selling advanced technology solutions will fuel our continued expansion,” said Rick Lottie, CEO, Magna5. “At every point in his career, Gerry instilled a winning mentality that every team needs to succeed. His performance and track record are unparalleled, and his strategic insight will propel Magna5 to national prominence.”
Prior to joining Magna5, Gallagher served as Strategic Pursuit Director for Fujitsu America, where he leveraged his managed services experience and relationships with third-party advisors to revitalize Fujitsu’s largest pursuits in North America. His forward-looking strategies allowed Fujitsu clients to reap the benefits of robust cloud, robotic process automation, analytics and artificial intelligence.
As Vice President and Strategic Dealmaker for Capgemini, Gallagher personally qualified, structured, negotiated and closed transactions totaling $1.2 Billion in total contract value (TCV). These services enabled Global 1000 clients to improve performance and control costs by leveraging Capgemini’s globally-distributed delivery for business process, applications and infrastructure services.
During his 25-year tenure at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Gallagher ascended from entry level account manager and systems engineer to top level management. As Vice President of Channel Sales for the Healthcare Unit, Gallagher fostered partnerships, acquisitions and go-to-market sales channels, as well as created a venture for outcomes-oriented analyses that served both patients and employers. He mentored and transformed the sales team that sold more than $100 million per year of new contracts for the then newly-formed Utilities Unit.
According to Frost & Sullivan, there will be a shortage of 1.8 million IT professionals by 2022. This glaring lack of available talent is a universal concern that strengthens the already compelling case for partnering with a managed services provider.
“To stay ahead of competitors, businesses must be agile and adapt quickly to shifts in the market - to innovate without sacrificing performance,” said Gerry Gallagher. “Magna5 provides customers with an all-inclusive offering that combines technology, professional services expertise and 24/7/365 support to foster operational efficiency and performance, system uptime and significant cost savings.”
Magna5 is a cloud and managed IT services provider that supports mid-market and large enterprise organizations. The company’s expansive portfolio includes business continuity, managed security services, business voice and data services, hybrid network services, in addition to unified communications (UCaaS), infrastructure (IaaS), and software (SaaS) delivered from the cloud. Following acquisitions of X5 Solutions in Seattle, WA, CornerStone Telephone Company in Troy, NY, NovaTel Ltd. in San Antonio, TX, and NetServe365 in Pittsburgh, PA, Magna5 stands alone as the partner organizations across the country count on for enterprise IT and communications, cybersecurity, cloud and managed IT services.
“I am excited to join the Magna5 team,” added Gallagher, “and to empower businesses with the resources they need to not just survive, but to thrive.”
