WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Sept. 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Walking Company Holdings, Inc. announced today the completion of an 83,000 square-foot distribution center expansion in Lincolnton, NC to bring the total location size to 312,000 square-feet. The new facility will distribute footwear and accessories for all of its key brands including ABEO footwear, Dansko, ECCO, and Taos. The distribution center currently employs over 200 associates, and will add an additional 45 jobs to the area.
A milestone for the company, the expansion was critical to meet the evolving increase of consumer-demand for quality comfort footwear while accommodating rapid sales growth in the international market, as well as through wholesale, ecommerce, and over 180 The Walking Company retail stores nationwide.

The new distribution center will be fully functional by mid-October. Construction was handled by commercial contractor Choate Construction with conveyor systems installed and supplied by Piedmont Material Handling.
